Take A Trip To Scary

If you like to be scared and are fascinated by the unexplainable, then I have the perfect lens for you: Goldfield Hotel – The History, Paranormal Investigation and Ghost Hunting by Giant Squid amandaquerque.
The Goldfield Hotel is in Goldfield, Nevada and is famous now for it’s haunted reputation. So much so that the show Ghost Adventures from The Travel Channel went there to film an episode. And, amandaquerque was right there with them! Her lens about the Goldfield Hotel has everything you could want to know, including the sordid history of the hotel and the people that have owned it, stayed there, and even died there. And, do not miss her personal photots from her trip (yes! she stayed there for two nights!), they are wonderful. I think I may need to sleep with the lights on now…
mulberry has got the 411 on Text Messaging

Giant Squid mulberry has got a Master’s Degree in a Health Care related field and loves to hike, bicycly, read, travel, garden, volunteer and spend time with her family.
As creator/webmaster of the Home Media Store she can tell you everything you need to know about texting and cells phones! I hate to admit this but I don’t really know much about text messaging so her lens Text Messaging was a big help for me. I learned how to cut down on my text messaging costs, about group text messaging and most importantly what “ADBB” means (for all you newbies it’s “All done, bye, bye”)!

A Virtual Walk With Barkely

I spent most of my weekend gardenging – and enjoying every minute of it. And, I need to give part of the credit for that this year to Barkely, who created the delicious lens The Virtual Garden. Take a minute to take a stroll through this lens and be transported in word and picture to a beautiful place.
I love this line from her introduction: “…My favorite spot is a bench in the center of my perennial garden, in the middle of summer. It is a great place to sit quietly, meditate, and reflect on life (until someone finds me). ..” I always smile when I read that line because it is so true – the garden is the perfect refuge. And my garden is prettier this year because of some of the plants introduced to me in this lens. And, if you would like still more gardening inspiration, you can check out her Virtual Garden Blog.

I love this lens. There are so many fantastic movie kisses and KAB covers them all! From Baby and Johnny in Dirty Dancing to Han and Leia in Star Wars, KAB has got the smooching covered! She’s even got a really cool Duel, “What is it that makes a kiss in a movie great? Is it the actual kiss or the characters that do the kissing?: Hmmm…I think it’s the characters for me. I really liked Adam Sandler as The Wedding Singer with Drew Barrymore. I can’t picture anyone else in those roles! So stop on by and let KAB know what you think!

In The Garden With AllThingsMichigan

One of the first lenses of Giant Squid AllThingsMichigan that caught my eye was Raised Bed Gardening. This lens is so chock full of practical, helpful advice and tips – I was amazed and very pleased. Here was a lens about how real people can make raised beds. Nothing fancy that requires a television crew and budget to accomplish, no artful sculptures to accomplish it, and no warring designers trying to make it look Venetian. This was a common sense approach to gardening that I could really appreciate. That Raised Bed lens and A Lazy man’s Guide To Compost have both helped me make my yard and gardens look much better.
But, don’t think that he is only about the garden and yard. As his lensmaster name suggests, you are bound to learn about Michigan from him ( Best of Michigan – What You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Michigan ), among many other interests. Who is Diana Princess of Wales

It was so hard to pick a favorite lens from ComfortDoc, but I managed to complete my task with Who is Diana Princess of Wales.
Princess Diana was a compassionate, giving, selfless person who through her amazing life touched the heart and soul of not only England but the entire world. Even after her tragic death in 1997 she remains larger then life. With Who is Diana Princess of Wales ComfortDoc has created a beautiful lens of Diana’s life and contribution to society.
ComfortDoc in her own right is also a compassionate, giving, selfless person here on Squidoo. Kirsti A. Dyer MD, MS, FT is not only a Giant Squid but a respected physician, an expert in life challenges, loss, grief and bereavement, professional health educator, professor, lecturer and author.

boredofeducation gets down with Harry Potter

Giant Squid boredofeducation, otherwise known as Damon is not only a High School Math teacher but he’s also got the 411 on everything Harry Potter! He’s got 14 J.K. Rowling/Harry Potter lenses by my count! As our resident Harry Potter expert, Damon has got a really nice variety of Potter fair including: Harry Potter Fan Art, Harry Potter Music and Harry Potter Puppet Pals.
But wait there’s more! Not only does Damon have a fantastic Harry Potter lens library he’s one generous Giant Squid. Damon started the “Room to Read – Harry Potter” group. The group is a collection of Squidoo lenses which donate all or part of their proceeds to Room to Read. There goal is to raise $10,000. How’s that for cool!

Giant Squid KAB will leave you laughing!

Even when I’m having a really lousy day Lensmaster KAB always puts a smile on my face. A self described “jack of all trades – ace of only ten or eleven”, KAB gives away little in her profile but her lenses say a lot.
I have two favorite KAB lenses on my list, both just happen to be Hey MonkeyBrain debates. The first is If you were a robot, and I knew but you didn’t, would you want me to tell you?. With 49 Star ratings as of today, her debate has created quite the buzz, even landing the coveted Squidoo “Lens of the Day”. Getting people to think is a great accomplishment, getting people to think AND leave oodles of comments is a super colossal accomplishment!
My second favorite lens is (Family Ties) Skippy or Nick ?. Yes, KAB is talking about the super cool 80’s sitcom starring Michael J. Fox as Alex P. Keaton. But no one really cared about Alex, the really interesting people on the show were Skippy and Nick, who both happend to be in love with his sister Mallory. So why is this one of my favorite lenses? It’s funny, creative, quirky and get’s people thinking outside the box.
She’s also got lenses on slutty Bratz dolls, senior pranks and Jell-O recipes. Her collection defines her eclectic and quirky style making you want to say, “Hey KAB…I can’t wait to see your next lens!”

Giant Lensography Lenses

When you’ve got more than 50 quality Squidoo lenses, keeping track of them all can become a bit daunting. The best (and easiest) way of sorting through them is to create a lensography lens (a lens about your lenses) where you can separate your many lenses into topic groupings of your choice.
In my opinion, one of the finest examples of a lensography lens was made by mega giant JaguarJulie. In fact the JaguarJulie Lensography is so good that it was honored with Lens of the Day on March 7, 2008.
JaguarJulie has been a Squidoo lensmaster for over two years now and has created close to 350 lenses and 6 groups. She’s a member of the The Giant Squid 100 Club and also a Squidoo Angel.
JaguarJulie has neatly organized her cavalcade of lenses on her lensography by arranging her many lenses into niche groups including Fashion, Jewelry, Health, Romania, Hungary, Topicability, Hunky Men, Girl Power, Spices, Her Squidoo groups, Lenses about her Blogs, Lenses about herself, (Don’t you love learning about your fellow Squidooers?) and her lenses utilizing Squidoo’s co-brands; Hey Monkeybrains, and The Ever Project.
What makes her lensography different than just a boring grocery-store type list of lenses is that she shares her Squidoo story throughout the lens, making this lensography a completely enjoyable read.
