Greeter Team Challenge Winners

“The Giant Squid Challenge” for September 2009 was a HUGE success! I am so excited to announce that more then 1,750 lenses were added to the plexos! WOW…that is a lot of great new lenses. I also want to give a huge round of applause to the amazing Greeters and their teams. They worked tirelessly to help bring home some great Giant Squids. So a big *clap*clap*clap* to:
The Winner of the Giant Squid AND the 100 Club portion of the challenge was Team Willow’s Wonder Squids by a_willow. See the WiWon School of Wonders too!

Bonnie and I would also like to personally thank each and every person who tried for Giant Squid. Whether you made it or not it’s the journey that counts. So congratulation to all the new Giants and if you didn’t quite make it this time the next deadline is Dec. 31st, 2009. GO GIANTS!

The quarter will come to a close at midnight tomorrow, September 30, and so this is our very last post from the Giant Squid Greeter Team Challenge ending September 2009.

I’d like to take a moment to thank all of our Greeters and their Team Coaches for all the hard work they’ve done this past quarter. You guys really ROCK! AND I’m happy to report that they are ALL staying on for the next quarterly challenge!
Starting October 1, 2009 there will be an all NEW Giant Squid Challenge with more Greeters, more help and more fun challenge contests than ever before.

The Challenge is Really Heating Up

With the weather heating up fiercely in my neck of the woods, I asked our team captains to share one of the hottest new lenses added to their teams for the Giant Squid Challenge September 2009.
Joan4 reported that: ” the JJJ’s produced 44 great lenses this week! We enjoyed our chat time – which was led by AJ this week. We discussed and learned more about how to get traffic to our lenses. Our forum is growing with great information. We are learning every day! What a super team!
Michey is keeping up with all the lenses and statistics at her wonderful blog. I am so appreciative!”

Mimi, proud leader of Team One said, “Potential Giant Squid, mbgphoto has the “hottest” lens in our plexo this week—her 50th! Congratulations to Mary Beth for her Mentoring Children through ePal Program.”
KAB, who heads up Kab’s Fab Squid Squad pointed out that “Giant Squid hopeful sukkran takes us to a hot tourist location, Chennai in India.”
A_Willow of team WiWon told us that “Macs shares first hand experience in her growing niche about parenting kids with special needs. One of lenses on this topic is full of tips on how to deal with explosive children: Raising an Explosive Child. Most parents will find something helpful in here!”
Rajays who is the leader of none other than Rajays Rocking Squids said: “I don’t have a “hot” lens in the plexo but I do have a “spine chilling” lens – A lens by WhiteOak featuring some of the scariest Haunted Cemeteries in the States.”
Be sure to visit all the Giant Squid and Club 100 Hopeful’s lenses. Give them a critique, a compliment or just say hi. It’s tough being the new squid on the block! Your wit and wisdom can go a long way towards helping us find the next Great Giant Squid lensmasters.
