I hope you’re all enjoying celebrating the 4th! I’ll just take you away from your cook outs and fireworks for a moment to announce this week’s winner of the Choose Your Favorite Giant Lens Contest.
This week you’ve chosen Fun with Legos by Giant lensmaster Bigebiz and I’m really glad you did because without this contest I may have missed visiting this truly enjoyable lens. You see, although we all love legos at my house, my boys are well past the lego-playing age and so I rarely visit lenses about toys anymore but today I discovered that this lens is so much more than just your average everyday toy lens.
In addition to being a great place to shop for Lego brand building blocks, Fun with Legos contains an informative article about the history of the Lego company, a bunch of cute Lego videos, and a debate on whether or not Legos are better than Lincoln Logs.
Today’s fun holiday is the perfect time to stop whatever you’re doing and take a look at todays winning lens. You’ll be glad you did!
This Week’s Giant Winner – Euryale

Don’t you love it when you accidentally come across a lens that contains information that you really need now but (Duh!) didn’t think to search Squidoo for? Today’s winning lens couldn’t have come to me at a better time and it may just save an innocent life.
You see, this week’s fabulous winning lens in the Choose Your Favorite Giant Lens contest is Growing Aloe Vera created by Giant Lensmaster Euryale and guess what, I happen to have a sickly little Aloe Vera plant.
Thanks to Euryale I’ve learned that my yellowing plant is suffering from one of two things, either I’ve been over-watering it OR I’m not providing it with enough sunlight. I honestly think it might be a little bit of both but that’s not really your concern, is it?
The real point I’m trying to make is that Squidoo.com contains a wealth of information brought to us by experts in just about every field imaginable. Every Squidoo lens has a built in search module. I just want to remind everyone to use it more often (and to use it for more than just trying to see how many lenses were already made about Coach bags).
The next time you are looking for information about any topic, search Squidoo first. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the results. I mean, who better to ask your important questions to than your fellow Giant Squid lensmasters?

I’ve got to hand it to you, You people sure know how to nominate and pick winners in the Choose Your Favorite Giant Lens Contest .
This week’s winning lens, I Love Avocados by Giant Lensmaster awelldressedbullet is truly an amazing example of what Squidoo recipe lenses should look like.
The lens is chock full of tasty avocado recipes (there’s even one for avocado ice cream. Who knew?) and includes avocado nutritional information along with descriptions and photos of the most common varieties of avacodos available. You’ll also find a list of good ideas for using avocado and an explanation of what a Molcajete is and how to use one for making authentic Mexican guacamole.
With summer starting today I’m sure you’ll want to visit, and bookmark, I Love Avocados to have it handy for all the warm weather entertaining you’ll be doing in the coming weeks.

This week’s winning lens in the Choose Your Favorite Giant Lens Contest is a Squid Angel and Top 100 Giant Squid! Lensmaster KAB gets the top nod this week with The Best Movie Kisses of All Time!
I love this lens. There are so many fantastic movie kisses and KAB covers them all! From Baby and Johnny in Dirty Dancing to Han and Leia in Star Wars, KAB has got the smooching covered! She’s even got a really cool Duel, “What is it that makes a kiss in a movie great? Is it the actual kiss or the characters that do the kissing?: Hmmm…I think it’s the characters for me. I really liked Adam Sandler as The Wedding Singer with Drew Barrymore. I can’t picture anyone else in those roles! So stop on by and let KAB know what you think!

I have to say that the lensmasters at Squidoo sure know how to pick a winning lens when they see one. This week’s winning lens in the Choose Your Favorite Giant Lens Contest is terrific and one that I’ve had the pleasure of blogging about before.

Nuts About Coconut created by one of my fellow Giant Squid Organizers, GypsyPirate.
In my opinion, Nuts About Coconut is a prime example of what a Giant Quality food and cooking lens should be. It contains not only some truly wonderful coconut recipes which include, Old-Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie, Pina Coladas, Easy Macaroons, Coconut Shrimp (getting hungry?) but also all kinds of real good coconut information, photos, links, fun product recommendations, a guestbook that invites readers to share more than just compliments, and best of all Gypsy’s love for coconut runs through every inch of this lens. You can actually feel her passion for her topic. I love it!

My Flower Garden by Giant lensmaster Flowergardener is truly a work of art. This lens is a gift to anyone who loves gardening and a tranquil respite for those looking to destress from a busy day.
Packed with gorgeous floral images and peaceful quotes, it’s hard to believe that My Flower Garden was this lensmaster’s first effort yet easy to see why YOU chose it as one of your favorites!
Flowergardener takes great care of her virtual masterpiece and tends to it often, if you haven’t been there in a while I suggest you stop by again, smell the virtual flowers, and leave her a note of thanks.
