1. Please tell us about your beautiful pencil art and how you got started doing that?
In about 1999 I shared with online friends a pencil portrait I had done, and I was asked how much I would charge to draw someone. I really had no idea, because I had never done a drawing for money before, but I had been drawing something or painting something my whole life. We agreed on a price, and I ended up doing about 3 for that family. It just sort of grew.
I had been looking for something I could do from home, and had tried different home sales plans without much success. What I should have been doing was under my nose the whole time!
2. Which of your own lenses is your favorite, and why?
I really like my
how to draw hair lens because I have received so many nice comments that it’s helped people. I never thought I could explain to someone how I draw anything, because I am self-taught and most of what I do is just intuitive – it just feels right, and I’ve just been doing it mainly from experimenting. So, it’s not official art-school how-to, but I hope someone can get something out of it.
3. Yodels or Twinkies?
I guess Twinkies, because I’ve never had Yodels – I’ve had Hostess Ding Dongs, is that the same thing? Send me a box of Yodels and I’ll do some research. I’ve never had deep-fried Twinkies either, so I think you better send a box of those too. Maybe to save on shipping, go ahead and send me a case of each, just don’t tell my doctor. You don’t know me, you never saw me.
