Today we shine the Squidoo Spotlight on to 100 Club Member Mickie_G.

1.   Tell us about your experience as a RocketMom.

I love being a RocketMom because Bonnie is such a wonderful taskmaster! Why? She comes up with super ideas that are easy to write about AND she does not flog you for being late submitting assignments.

Also, there are many RM lensmasters who are very generous and share copiously. Alison Meacham and Paula Atwell have particularly influenced me.

2.    On your bio you mention that you are a Baby Boomer, do you think this influences the topics you write about?  Why or why not?

Yes, being a “boomer’ does influence the topics of my lenses. I try to write about subjects that I know. That means, because of my age, I have grandchildren that I use in my lenses. One such lens is “Recipes for a Candy Corn Halloween” where I feature the kids in a photo gallery module making the Candy Corn Mix.

I, also, have had many years of cooking under my belt (pounds and experience) and share my successes in that area. “Celebrate the Chocolate Brownie” and “Green Tomato Recipes” are two examples.

I was a child of the 60’s in style and philosophy. You can see that in my lens “Take a Fashion Trip to the 60’s“.

3.   Which of your many lenses is your favorite and why?

My favorite lenses are those that have my grandchildren in them, but I am particularly proud of a SquidLit article that I wrote this past summer, “Fifty-Grand: a suspense novel by Adrian McKinty“.  I have been trying hone my book review skills and I think I am getting better.

4.    George, Paul, John or Ringo and why?

“George” and you can find out why by reading -”Let it Roll: Songs by George Harrison“.
