Are your groups suffering because you’re running short of Squid time?
I recently adopted a great Squidoo.com group from a lensmaster who simply didn’t have the time to spare to take care of it anymore.
Have you got a group that’s maybe been a little bit neglected lately? Are you too busy to give your group all the love and care it deserves?
Instead of deleting that great group url address, why not offer your group to another member of the group?
Chances are if they have a lens (or lenses) in the group already, they are probably passionate about that group’s topic and would love to continue where you’ve left off .
That’s what Flicker did when she offered me her Vegetable Gardening group.
And I’m really glad she did because vegetable gardening is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world. In fact, prior to my work here at Squidoo, I used to write a micro site called Fresh Cooking from Your Garden.
Another alternative to offering your attention-craving group for adoption might be to share leadership of the group with another lensmaster who already belongs to the group. After all, two heads are better than one and four hands can certainly speed up the group admission and Headquarter editing process.
If all else fails, you can always visit Squidu.com and post a Group adoption notice in the “Groups” thread there.
