This Week’s Winner – A Funny Christmas Story

This week’s winner of the Choose Your Favorite Giant Lens contest is A Funny Christmas Story by Giant Squid lensmaster RinchenChodron.

A Funny Christmas Story was written to memorialize a friend of RinchenChodron’s who passed away.  Although the friend’s passing is sad, her story is really very funny and well worth a read by you.

For most people, the holidays seem to bring back memories of loved ones, both living and dead.  Writing a lens is an excellent way to share those memories with family, friends and kindred spirits.

You could make a lens…

* that reveals some of the best times you shared growing up with your siblings. (Be sure to include embarrassing old photos!)

* that tells your parents how much you really did appreciate them, even though it seemed like you didn’t. (Again, don’t forget the funny photos!)

* that tells the world how much you love your spouse.  (Include photos past and present!)

* to remember your grandparents.  (Photos, photos, and more photos!)

Or even just a lens that shares a funny story like RinchenChodron did!

Be sure to include a duel module to instigate comments and maybe even a little friendly bickering.

Encourage family and friends to visit this special lens by including the link in your holiday cards this year then sit back and wait for the fun to start rolling in!

P.S.  Increase the goodwill of this lens by donating the royalties to your favorite charity!

I’m thinking that, although the story that makes the main focus of the lens is humorous, it probably doesn’t deserve Lens of the Week: http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/lovedoll.asp

But what do I know. Maybe the fact that her friend forwarded the story to her is true.
