A Look at the Giant Squid Awards Winners
The winners of this quarter’s Giant Squid Awards have been announced and I thought it might be fun to take a look at an example of the work each of the winners has been doing to see why these Giant Squid lensmasters were bestowed with their special awards.
Mega-Mentor – Giant Squid N376 has unselfishly created dozens of really helpful lenses that I think most of you have visited at least once. Advanced HTML for Squidoo is one of his most popular.
Genuine-Genius – Giant Squid lensmaster thefluffanutta is the mastermind behind Squidutils.com. Need I say more?
Seller-Superstar - At Are you a Stay at Home Mom (orDad) Interested in Earning a Monthly Income? Janet21 shares some of her super selling tips and statisitcs with you.
Generous-Giant – At Who are Squidoo’s Charities and Nonprofit Partners? Comfortdoc has listed the many charities you can support with your Squidoo lenses along with their mission statements. Stop by to choose your favorite before starting your next lens.
Courteous-Commenter - Giant lensmaster KimGiancaterino spends a good portion of her time at Squidoo visiting and commenting on your lenses. Visit her Confessions of a Squid Angel: Top Ten Tips of a Bless Worthy Lens to see what she’s looking for.
Pop-Culture-Pro – Blondeheroine is our unofficial Movie Maven. Take a look at Drive-In Movie Theaters for one example from her favorite niche topic.
Deliciously-Devilish-Debater – Check out If you were a robot, and I knew but you didn’t, would you want me to tell you? for one example of the very interesting and thought provoking debates started by Giant Squid kab.
Craftiest-Creations – Intarsia and Fair Isle Knitting is where Giant Squid katiyana explains some of the knitting magic she uses for making her wonderful crafty creations.
Animal-Activist - Genglo works her tail off rehabitilitating and helping abused ferrets in her community. Take a look at Ferrets Unlimited to learn how you can help too.
Liveliest-Lensographer – JaguarJulie has created a lensography of her lensographies. I’d say that makes her one extremely lively lensographer!
Top-Producer – According to the official count from headquarters, ThomasC has created the most new featured lenses during the last three months. Who is Nona Dirksmeyer? is his top ranking lens today.
Of course this is just a tiny sampling. Please visit each of these Giant’s profile pages to have a look at all of the good work they’ve been doing at and for Squidoo.com.

Thank you once again for the honor of being a “Generous Giant.” The Who are Squidoo’s Charities and Nonprofit Partners? is only part of the series that I created as a Squidoo Charity Answer Deck as a project for the Squidoo Activists.

W00t! Some little birdie told me that you had featured a number of the hottest GIANT Squids today and presented some really spot-on awards. I’d say this post is quite topical in that you’ve nailed the awards; i.e., matched them quite well to these fine Giant Squids.
Thanks for the kudos as Liveliest-Lensographer — I’d been feeling actually a little POOPED lately and this helped to brighten my day. You are such a dear.

Thank you for my “Craftiest-Creations” award. My doll and bear sweaters are a labor of love, and I’m thrilled to have my work recognized this way. Squidoo has played a major role in the success of my business in 2008 – and I luv it lots!

Once again, thank you so much for choosing me for Pop Culture Pro. Being that, yes, I am a pop culture nut – this was very much a compliment and an honor!

Thank you so much for recognizing me with the honor of Courteous Commenter. I’m very much a ‘behind the scenes’ person, but have deep affection for the Squidoo community and appreciate the continued generosity and kindness of its leadership. Hugs to you all.

I’d like to congratulate all the winners – they’re all very well deserved.
I have to say I wasn’t at all surprised to see the names of the people who have been honoured in this way. I think I’ve learned something from almost everybody!
